The views from here are magnificent. Birchwood is in a central location for exploring Lochalsh, Skye and Wester Ross and for a range of outdoor activities. Camuslongart, Dornie, Near Kyle of Lochalsh. Situated next door to Heron Cottage (see below), this traditional detached stone cottage with its light and sunny conservatory is located on the shore of Loch Long. From here you can enjoy superb views over the loch to the mountains of Kintail. You are sure to be struck by the beauty of the area, especially on clear starry nights. Up to 4 guests can be accommodated in Camuslongart in three bedrooms. Downstairs is a fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, a sitting room with a log burning stove, a single bedroom and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Upstairs are two further bedrooms - one a double and the other a single - both with washbasins. Open all year. Rates from £328-£468 per week including all linen except bathtowels. Keeper's Cottage, Eilanreach Estate, The Sound of Sleat. One of four holiday properties at Eilanreach, in a little gathering of houses about a quarter of a mile from the shores of The Sound of Sleat, Keeper's Cottage is a real 'get away from it all' destination. The Eilanreach Estate starts one mile south of the village of Glenelg and the road continues a further eight miles down the coast to peter out at the hamlets of Arnisdale and Corran on the shores of Loch Hourn. There is plenty to do here amongst magnificent scenery. There are beaches to comb, excellent walking and the opportunity in summer to take the Glenelg-Kylerhea ferry to the Isle of Skye where there's a whole new world to explore.
